The Leading Edge – Evidence-Based Leadership Development

One of the challenges of many traditional leadership programs is that they are often a day or two and back to business as usual. It is very difficult to create change in this way, even for the most motivated.

The Leading Edge is developed to to enable real measurable change to occur. With four foundation modules delivered in short interactive workshops (2-3hrs) 4 to 6 weeks apart, and activities and coaching circles between. It is designed to put learnings into practice before the course completes.

Thank you is not enough to express how thankful I am for all the time and effort you have put in. What could have been wrongly seen as just another ‘procedural leadership training’, has made such a difference in my life as a person, Dad and Husband and Leader.

Please feel proud … as much as there’s a lot of things I have still gotta work on, I feel like I have now got the confidence to properly look after and protect myself and the family in today’s crazy world!

The Leading Edge Overview

In between the modules, these things will happen ….

  • Leaders are given challenges to complete e.g. giving and receiving feedback, exploring personal values, practicing stress management techniques.
  • Leaders have access to a range of activities, resources and discussions via a cool (and fun) online gamified platform called Xperiencify.
  • Peer coaching circles are held. During these sessions each leader brings a problem/challenge to the session. A facilitated series of round robin processes enables peers to coach each other through finding a way forward.

The four foundation are usually customised to meet the needs and background of the leaders attending. Groups are kept to no more than 10 and no less than four. As this is a peer learning process it needs to be small enough for everyone to get involved, share and learn together. Yet large enough there are people to share. Our goldilocks zone if-you-will.

Rachel brings a heap of professional knowledge and capability, along with much personal experience learned in the trenches. Her straight-talking, genuine and empathetic approach to coaching helps to create rapport and a safe space to explore the tough issues.
